The cause of the gas leak

The rubber hose connected to the stove is aging and cracked, or the two ends of the rubber hose are loose and fall off.

How to check for gas leaks

Determine whether the gas leaks by smelling. Natural gas itself contains hydrogen sulfide, which has an unpleasant smell of rotten eggs.

Determine whether the gas is leaking through the gas meter. When no gas is used at all, check whether the number in the red box at the end of the gas meter moves.

Make soap or washing powder into soap liquid with water for inspection. Apply it in turn to the gas pipe, gas meter hose, plug switch and other places that are easy to leak gas to check whether there is a gas leak at home.

Use gas leak alarm to check leaks. The instrument that can detect gas leakage (valid for 5 years at home, valid for 3 years for business) is hung on the wall after the power is on. When the gas leaks at home, the combustible gas concentration reaches the detector detection alarm value, the gas detector can issue an audible and visual alarm warning signal to remind us (when there is a stimulating smell in the kitchen, it will also issue an alarm sound).

Safe use of natural gas

Pay attention to window ventilation when using gas. Natural gas is not easy to detect after a leak, and it is easy to cause danger when ignition operations or lights are turned on. Therefore, when using gas, try to open the window for ventilation.

Close the stove valve. After using the gas, it is necessary to develop the habit of closing the valve in front of the stove. Do not turn off the valve without trouble. If the valve is open all year round, it will be prone to danger when the stove or connecting hose leaks.

Check and replace the hose regularly.
