Underground garage carbon monoxide gas detection and alarm system
With the popularity of private vehicles and underground garages, indoor vehicle exhaust emissions seriously affect indoor air quality and have adverse effects on human health. In severe cases, it can lead to poisoning, and one of the main components of exhaust is carbon monoxide.
The hazards of carbon monoxide
Carbon monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and can cause significant harm to the human body when inhaled. It combines with hemoglobin to produce carboxyhemoglobin, leading to hypoxia in humans. The most common symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, such as headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, fatigue, and a feeling of weakness, can cause serious damage to the heart and central nervous system when exposed to carbon monoxide, leading to sequelae.
The production of carbon monoxide in underground garages mainly comes from car engines. When the engine is idling, due to insufficient combustion of gasoline, a large amount of exhaust gas containing carbon monoxide will be produced. Underground parking garages are enclosed environments where vehicles frequently enter and exit, and the exhaust emissions are difficult to release. They are prone to accumulate large amounts of carbon monoxide gas, which can harm human health. Therefore, the underground garage should be equipped with a system for air supply and exhaust, using fresh air for replacement.
